Get Involved

Partnership word shown in dictionary

Are you interested in volunteering and advocacy?  We need you to take ACTION!!!

Below are a few ways you can get involved with Re/Storing Nashville:

1) Join a leadership team to inform advocacy strategy, advise on communications tools, serve as a media spokesperson, and get out the word in neighborhoods and congregations! (2-4 hours per week)

2) Lead or assist with information gathering/sharing:

  •     Collect GroceryStories.
  •     Assist with market analysis: what do supermarkets need to open in a new location?
  •     Advise on a state/local policy assessment.
  •     Create a photo essay or video of life in food desert.

3) Join a speakers' bureau training and do outreach to the community through your faith organization, at a community event or at a house party.

4) Enlist your house of worship (church, synagogue, mosque, temple, etc.) to participate in our interfaith program.

5) Join in other advocacy activities that will be spearheaded by the leadership team.  Possibilities include demostrations, sign-on letters/postcards, food desert reality tours, ride-the-bus-to-the-supermarket day, vigils, and much more!

Please share other ideas you have for getting involved!
