Re/Storing Nashville :: Building Access to Affordable Food

Neighborhood: Edgehill
Story Type: Transportation Issue

My Story:

Kroger is way out. It is too far. We have to get someone to drive us to the store, and then we have to pay them or buy them something at the store. If no one can take me, then I have to ride the bus...and then I can only buy a little bit of groceries because it's too much to carry. It's hard for me to do this with a toddler in tow. We really need a grocery store here! This Grocery Story was collected at the Edgehill Food Awareness Cookout on August 31, 2010.  The event was hosted by Edgehill Food Now!, a collaboration between the Edgehill Family Resource Center, Organized Neighbors of Edgehill and Re/Storing Nashville.
